David Ogden is a professional conductor and composer. He conducts Exultate Singers, City of Bristol Choir, the RSCM Chamber Choir, the Royal Mail Choir and in his post of Head of the Bristol Choral Centre, he conducts the Bristol Youth Choir. He recently founded a new ensemble of young singers, Celestia. He is Director of Music at Holy Trinity Church, Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol. For over 25 years he has worked with numerous professional and amateur groups of all shapes and sizes in many fields of music making, including church music, concerts, musical theatre and opera, community projects, primary and secondary level educational workshops, from small children’s groups to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
David has conducted choirs on BBC Radios 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the World Service, and worked as conductor, arranger and music adviser on BBC TV’s Songs of Praise. He is Choral Music Adviser for the BBC’s hit series Call The Midwife, and worked with the Royal Mail Choir in the BBC Two series The Choir: Sing While You Work. David conducted the choir for a charity single with X-Factor winner Joe McElderry in 2013 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK and on the 2013 Royal Mail Christmas TV advertisement.
He has conducted choirs in concert halls, cathedrals, churches, chapels, monasteries, convents, castles, conference centres, the Houses of Parliament, stately homes, prisons, theatres, gardens, retirement homes, shopping centres, restaurants, pubs, building sites, golf clubs, schools, car showrooms, business clubs, hotels, farmers’ markets, hospitals, TV and recording studios, Royal Mail sorting offices, underground stations, zoos, marquees and on boats, in the UK, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, USA, Portugal, Holland, South Korea, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Philippines, and Hungary.
His compositions are published by the RSCM and White Light Publishing, and are performed in schools and churches worldwide. His music is broadcast frequently on BBC radio and television. In 2004 David was made an Associate of the Royal School of Church Music in recognition of his services to church music. He is to be awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal School of Church Music in October 2015.

Jill has an impressive track record, having produced over 2,000 BBC TV and radio programmes, producing many of John Rutter's CDs including a Gramophone Award-winning album, establishing 'BBC Young Musician of the Year', working with St George's Bristol in its early days positioning it as a first-class broadcasting chamber music venue, and working with many festivals, organisations and ensembles nationwide. She has been honoured by the University of Bristol, the Royal Academy and the Royal College of Music, the Birmingham Conservatoire, the Royal Society of Arts, the Worshipful Company of Musicians and the Polish Composers’ Union and she is a Freeman of the City of London.

Sue Green Chairman
Sue is a founding member of Exultate Singers and sings soprano. She also sings with several ensembles in Bristol. A GP by profession, she is a keen photographer, traveller and cook.
Ian Carpenter Treasurer
Ian sings tenor with Exultate Singers and is also a composer, having written over 120 pieces, including several for the choir. Exultate's first two CDs feature his music. Ian is an engineer and has a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering.
Judith Ogden Publicity & design
Judith is a freelance graphic and web designer, and sings alto with Exultate Singers. She studied Music at Bristol University and plays the viola and piano. She plays badminton and tries to run 10ks and Half Marathons from time to time! She is married to David and has four children aged from 8 to 18 years.
Richard Johnson Membership administration
Richard is a Patent Attorney and is a Partner at Mewburn Ellis. He was Organ Scholar at Oriel College, Oxford. He sings bass with Exultate, frequently accompanies the choir and plays organ solos in concerts. Richard works alongside David Ogden as Organist of Westbury-on-Trym Parish Church and repetiteur for City of Bristol Choir.
Jo Wyld Secretary
Jo sings soprano with Exultate and is married to bass Charlie. With a background in Psychology and Counselling she is currently indulging herself by doing a part-time degree in Art whilst also training as an Executive Coach. In her spare time she runs a family of three sons, a husband, a lodger, three dogs and 33 Budgerigars.

Barbara sings alto with Exultate. Having retired from teaching in schools, she is now a freelance musician, teaching piano and singing, as well as composing and arranging. Her four children having flown the nest she is enjoying gardening and learning to play the viola. She also does part-time secretarial work at the University of Bristol.

Pippa Ramsay Committee member
Pippa sings soprano and is an English teacher at Gordano School. She studied at Brasenose College, Oxford with David Cameron and rowed in the Brasenose Women's First VIII and is the mother of two girls.
Lydia Lloyd Committee member
Lydia is a trainee solicitor with a firm in Bristol, and sings alto with Exultate Singers. She studied English and History (and all the singing she could fit in!) at Cardiff University before converting to law. She is also a founding member of the Wellensian Consort and enjoys running in her spare time.
Martin Le Poidevin Site programmer
Martin is a freelance singer, vocal coach, singing teacher, writer and web programmer. He is a familar face on the concert platform in the South West as a soloist. Martin built the Exultate online shop and behind-the-scenes site programming.
