Bristol's Colston Hall is celebrating the opening of it's shiny new building with a series of special events from September 18 - 27th, beginning with an opening night party which will include the world premiere of a choral work by Richard Barnard, to be performed by Exultate Singers, the Bristol Schools Chamber Choir and the Bristol Brass Consort.
The performance is part of an evening of multi-media indoor and outdoor performances taking over all areas of the hall and the streets outside combining aerial musicians, beatboxers and wall runners from Cirque Bijou and Circomedia against a backdrop of stunning visual projections from Kathy Hinde and music from the Emerald Ensemble. The evening will feature a 200 strong Saxophone Massive led by Andy Sheppard, African drumming from Akumapa, Adrian Utley's 'Music for Massed Guitars'and gypsy jazz from Sheelanagig. Free on a first come first serve basis, doors are at 5.30pm and you are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Exultate Singers takes part in a gala choral concert at St George's, Bristol in aid of this extremely worthwhile cause.
Sunday 8th November 2009 - Beyond the Wall
Marking 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, a concert of Eastern European music in Clifton Cathedral featuring a new piece specially commissioned for this concert from Roxanna Panufnik.
