Jim Clements Underneath The Stars \nOn UNESCO’s International Day of Light\, Exultate Singers presents 70 minutes of radiant music inspired by light in all its forms\, with a spectrum of sacred and secular choral works from across the centuries. \nBeginning in the warmth of late-afternoon spring sunshine\, the programme traces a luminous path through time – from the shimmering polyphony of 16th-century English master Robert White\, William Byrd to the ethereal soundworlds of the 20th century in music by William Harris and John Tavener. \nThe journey concludes in the present day with exquisite motets by emerging British composers Oliver Tarney and Lucy Walker\, alongside a mesmerising work by Slovenian composer Andrej Makor. For a final touch of evening glow\, an arrangement of Kate Rusby’s beloved song Underneath The Stars gently carries us into the evening. \nTickets\nCentral nave – £15 for adults\, £7.50 students in full time education\, £5 under 18s (8 years+)\nSouth Aisle (restricted visibility) – £12 for adults\, £6 students in full time education\, £4 under 18s (8 years+)\nSouth Wall and North Wall (restricted visibility) – £10 for adults\, £5 students in full time education\, £2 under 18s (8 years+) \nWe welcome children aged 8 years + \nGetting there\nSt James Priory is next door to Bristol bus station so if you are able to travel by public transport that is the best option. There is a lift to provide access to the toilets which are in the cafe area\, and a disabled toilet available. Any chair can be removed to provide a wheelchair space.
